Daring and unpredictable, WHITE HILLS has garnered a reputation as one of the most prolific bands of their generation, composing over 12 studio albums along with numerous EPS, singles and collaborations. Redefining the psychedelic and post-punk genres, the music made by core members Dave W. and Ego Sensation is risky and cutting edge, rooted in punk ethos and Stooges-style abandon. The duo has toured extensively internationally, produced a feature concert film WHITE HILLS: Splintered Metal Sky and appeared in Jim Jarmusch’s film Only Lovers Left Alive.

Hailed by The Quietus as the Best Psych Rock of 2020, the band’s latest release Splintered Metal Sky features guest appearances from filmmaker/musician Jim Jarmusch, fellow Only Lovers Left Alive alumni Yasmine Hamdan, Simone Marie Butler (Primal Scream) and Jim Coleman (Human Impact/Cop Shoot Cop). Inspired by the roar and drone of New York City, Dave & Ego collected field recordings, sculpting them into songs at Studio G in Brooklyn with engineer Jeff Berner (Psychic TV).

WILDES versteht sich als elektronisches Disko-Pop-Punk Projekt.
Die zwei Musikerinnen aus München singen abstrakte Texte auf deutscher Sprache – mit einer gewissen Poesie, und zuweilen Ironie. Spoken-Word-Passagen und einprägsam gesungene Vocals verschmelzen zu Melodien, die einmal gehört für eine ganze Weile weiter klingen. Ein minimalistischer Elektrosound in Combo mit simplen Synthie-Wellen und der stets treibende DrumComputer machen die Werke cool, spielerisch und provokant. Die rockigen Barré Wechsel der elektronischen Rhythmusgitarre begleiten die Stücke. Die Verzerrung bringt der knallige Tube Screamer und die Sounds der Leadgitarre brechen die rohe Repetition.
